There are now very few European companies that have the same level of experience and knowledge as Cama when it comes to packaging ice cream cones. In light of the product’s delicate, fragile nature, specific technical expertise is necessary to handle ice creams at high speed. Recently, Cama successfully installed this line comprising a forming machine, two double-axis robots and box closing machine.

 
The first robot picks the cones up out of the baskets on the client’s process line and transfers them to special "pucks" made by Cama. With this system, the products are accumulated, balanced and transferred to the picking area, where the second robot retrieves the cones to load them into three flap boxes. The line works at a speed of 480 cones per minute.
